Position Description – Environmental Resource

Objective or Purpose:

To develop campers' self-esteem and confidence by planning age appropriate activities that are both within the campers' abilities and allow for creativity, individuality and challenge.  And to ensure the campers have fun!

Qualifications:

• Some outdoor education experience
• Sufficient leadership experience to give instruction and maintain control of a group

Duties:

• Plans environmental program
• Purchases necessary supplies in accordance with the budget
• supervises the camp outdoor program including
  • set up and organization of the Out-Trip Room at start of camp
  • ensuring adequate supplies are available for each part of the planned program before camp begins
• acts as a resource for campers/staff to help implement their ideas
• utilizes resources found in the environment
• periodically ensures that the Out-Trip Room in well stocked and organized
